Mommie and Me Mini Sessions

As a mother and grandmother, Mommie and Me sessions is one of those photos you do not want time to slip away without a recording of these precious memories and moments. I can remember having to squeeze my children into my lap when their legs were too long and I wondered where had time gone? Just a few weeks ago, Landon, my 16 year old grandson decided my lap looked like a good place to rest for a minute. This reminded me so much of the times when he was a little boy and would sit with me as we talked about random things in life. Children don’t fit into a laps forever, they will get to a point where their hugs are at a distance and cuddling will be out of the question. To have a photo like the one below will keep those memories alive, even when they are too big for your lap.

I am hosting Mommie and Me sessions on April 29th, 2023 and May 6th, 2023 from 8:30 am -1:30 pm in my Garden Room at my home. The setting is beautiful as you can see from the photos from last year. Pastels and small prints are best, but solid colors are perfect in white, blue, yellow, pink and mint green tones.

Sessions are 15 mniutes - $150 for 8-10 images with print release. Print services are available with a turn-around before Mother’s Day. Deposit of $50 will hold your spot. To book a session, you can text me 706-988-0627 with your name and children’s ages with a perferred time

All About ME!!!!

Children grow up so fast when you really look at their time as a child. I can reflect on my own children as they grew in and out of love with experiences, hobbies, and extra-curricular activities. I remember Austin wanting to be a Bull rider when he was about 8 years old. He would ask any man he saw with cowboy boots on if they rode bulls. He never rode a bull, but he watched rodeos, 8 seconds and cowboy movies often. Then he fell in love with soccer when he decided bull riding wasn’t “his” thing. He would wake-up 30 minutes early before school as a second and third grader to practice his soccer skills on the side of the house, because one day he was going to be just like the famous soccer player Pele when he grew up. All I have are my memories of Austin as a child that served his passion from one thing or another until he found his passion for hunting and spending times in the woods. (we have photos from every hunting season for the past 15 years.) Looking back, I would treasure having portraits of him as he shared his love and passion for the world to see through his eyes. “All about ME!” sessions is something I have worked on for several years. I have bounced ideas around in my head, wrote out game plans for sessions, and then I realized the child reveals him/herself through the lens of the camera by sharing the things they love. It’s my job to capture their passion – nothing forced, staged or fake – it is totally about the one in front of the camera.

Girls in pageant dresses don’t always wear heels - be yourself because it’s all about ME!!!

We are all busy running here and there, as a Mother and a Grandmother my advice is to slow down just a little. Take time for the important things in life; a session that captures your child in those single and double digit years will be a treasure in the close future.
